Smith Ranch

Smith Ranch was awarded “1997 Landowner of the Year, ” a conservation award presented for “outstanding accomplishment in resource conservation.”

About the Smiths…

Norman and Susan Smith own and operate a ranch on Bone Mesa.  Part of their land lies at the foot of Mt. Lamborn and they work closely with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to improve habitat for wildlife.  Three generations of the Smith family help with the farming and taking care of the Angus and Hereford cows that they raise.

“We operate our ranch in a holistic manner and because of our efforts we have been awarded a Conservationist of the year award and an award from Colorado Parks and Wildlife for improving wildlife habitat.  We live a wonderful lifestyle working on the land.”
